Data Engineer – Build Modern Data Platform

About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join AJ Bell’s Data Engineering team in Manchester. You will help design, build and evolve a modern data platform that supports the company’s investment services, working with cutting‑edge cloud technologies and a collaborative, data‑driven culture.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and refine data requirements.
• Design and implement data‑warehousing solutions using cloud platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery or Redshift.
• Develop, automate and maintain ELT pipelines following CI/CD best practices.
• Create scalable data integration designs and clear data models.
• Provision data from multiple sources and ensure data quality through automated testing.
• Maintain the data dictionary, business‑level data model and compliance with data‑governance policies.
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies to improve the platform.

• Experience in e‑commerce or financial‑services environments.
