Data Engineer – Financial Engineering (6‑month contract, remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our Financial Engineering team on a six‑month contract. The role is fully remote, supporting our London‑based finance operations, and focuses on building robust, scalable systems that transform large‑scale consumption and royalty data into accurate payouts.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement data pipelines for high‑volume transactional and financial data.
• Develop self‑service tools for the Finance team to streamline payout calculations.
• Create modular, maintainable platform components that meet regulatory and audit requirements.
• Collaborate with Finance, Product and Engineering stakeholders to deliver reliable, auditable solutions.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in data engineering and backend service development.
• Experience handling large‑scale financial data pipelines.
• Ability to work in fast‑moving, ambiguous environments while maintaining long‑term sustainability.

Required skills

• Scala (including Scio/Dataflow).
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud‑native development.
• Java and Python programming.
• BigQuery for data warehousing and analysis.
