Data Engineer (Hybrid) – Gloucester

About the role

Our client, a trusted supplier to the National Security sector, is seeking a Data Engineer to design and operate mission‑critical data pipelines. Working primarily from Gloucester with hybrid flexibility, you will transform diverse data sources into actionable insights for high‑impact security customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain data pipelines for ingestion, orchestration and ETL processing (e.g., NiFi).
• Ensure data consistency, quality and security across all stages.
• Create and maintain database schemas and data models.
• Integrate and enrich data from multiple sources while preserving integrity.
• Maintain and enhance existing data ingest and storage components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within integrated data systems.
• Collaborate with the scrum team to translate requirements into epics and user stories.
• Write clean, secure, reusable code following test‑driven development practices.
• Monitor system performance and apply updates to keep operations optimal.

Required profile

• Active Enhanced DV (eDV) clearance – West.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Gloucester when required.
• Full‑time availability.
