Data Engineer

About the role

Join AJ Bell’s dynamic Data Engineering team to help build and evolve a state‑of‑the‑art data platform. You will design, develop and maintain data infrastructure that supports the company’s growing investment services, enabling data‑driven decisions across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and refine data requirements.
• Develop data‑warehousing solutions and modern ELT pipelines.
• Design scalable data integration and modelling approaches.
• Maintain and continuously improve the data platform and related documentation.
• Provision data from multiple sources and create automated tests for data quality.
• Ensure compliance with AJ Bell’s data‑governance policies.
• Maintain data dictionaries and business‑level data models.
• Recommend and introduce new technologies as needed.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, able to work with technical and non‑technical teams.
• Experience in e‑commerce or financial‑services environments.
• Self‑motivated, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning.
• Customer‑focused mindset and ability to prioritize work effectively.
