Data Engineer

About the role

We’re recruiting for a Data Engineer to join a growing consultancy, delivering production‑grade data platforms for leading UK organisations. The role is client‑facing, designing and building scalable cloud‑based data solutions using AWS, Databricks and emerging Agentic AI technologies. You’ll receive structured training, clear career progression and work on complex enterprise‑scale projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines and cloud‑based data platforms.
• Develop robust data architectures and support the full software development lifecycle.
• Build tooling for data ingestion, transformation, orchestration and data quality.
• Work directly with clients to understand requirements and deliver high‑quality data solutions.
• Explore and apply emerging technologies, including Agentic AI, to improve data engineering processes.

Required profile

• 2–4 years' experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong skills in Python, SQL and DBT.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS and/or Databricks.
• Knowledge of AWS services including S3, Lambda, Glue, RDS and DynamoDB.
• Experience with Terraform or AWS CDK, Git and modern development practices.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Passion for emerging technologies, particularly Agentic AI, and a customer‑focused approach.
