Data Engineer – Microsoft Fabric (Hybrid, London)

About the role
Join a fast‑growing international business that is undergoing a major data transformation. As a Data Engineer you will work on Microsoft Fabric, Dynamics 365 and AI/automation projects, helping shape the future data capability of the organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain Microsoft Fabric lakehouses, pipelines and notebooks.
- Support CRM data migration to Dynamics 365/Dataverse, including data reconciliation and validation.
- Write complex SQL/T‑SQL queries and develop transformation logic for ETL/ELT processes.
- Model data and create KPI reporting solutions.
- Automate data processes and continuously improve pipelines.
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders across the company.
- Contribute to AI, automation and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with both technical and business teams.
- Experience delivering data migration projects is a plus for senior candidates.
- Ability to take ownership of workstreams and mentor junior colleagues (senior role).
Required skills
- SQL and T‑SQL (complex queries, performance tuning).
- Microsoft Fabric – lakehouses, pipelines, notebooks.
- ETL/ELT and general data‑engineering practices.
- Dynamics 365 / Dataverse data handling.
- Data modelling and KPI reporting.
- Python / PySpark (preferred).
- Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake (preferred).
- Power BI (preferred).
- AI/ML exposure and relevant certifications (DP‑600, DP‑203) – desirable.
What we offer
- Salary £60,000‑£75,000 per year, dependent on experience.
- Hybrid working – one day per week in the London office.
