Data Manager – Azure Fabric Specialist

About the role

Head Resourcing is partnering with an Edinburgh‑based business to hire a Data Manager with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure Fabric. You will bridge business strategy and modern data platforms, delivering analytical solutions that support regulatory reporting, risk management, customer insight, and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders to capture and document data and reporting requirements.
• Design and build Lakehouse and Data Warehouse solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
• Develop end‑to‑end data pipelines, ingestion frameworks, and ETL/ELT processes.
• Create robust MI, dashboards, and reporting solutions in Power BI.
• Lead data governance initiatives, including lineage, quality, traceability, and metadata management.
• Maintain data models, business glossaries, process documentation, and data dictionaries.
• Support regulatory reporting, risk analytics, and operational reporting initiatives.
• Identify automation opportunities and promote data literacy across the organisation.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and delivering modern data platforms and architecture.
• Strong background with the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
• Ability to work with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Excellent documentation and process‑mapping skills.
• Experience delivering data‑driven solutions in complex business environments.
