Data Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Data Manager to own reporting and insight within our small, growing business. The role is hands‑on, focusing on analysis, reporting and visualisation, working closely with stakeholders to build dashboards and support data‑driven decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain dashboards in Looker Studio using data from BigQuery and Google Analytics.
• Write SQL to extract, query and transform data, turning raw data into clear insights.
• Analyse data, identify trends and answer key business questions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to translate requirements into useful outputs.
• Help shape the reporting structure as the business scales.

Required profile

• Several years of experience as a Data Lead, Manager or similar role.
• Proactive, self‑sufficient and able to manage own workload autonomously.
• Comfortable working with technical engineers and a fractional CTO.

Required skills

• Strong SQL skills.
• Hands‑on experience with BigQuery and Google Analytics data.
• Experience building dashboards in Looker Studio.
• Experience working within a Google Cloud Platform environment.
• Ability to analyse data and generate clear, actionable insights.
• Exposure to Azure or Databricks (beneficial but not essential).

• Salary up to £60,000 per year, dependent on experience.
