Data Migration Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Data Migration Engineer to join the migrations team of a fast‑growing AI‑focused SaaS company. The role is fully remote and involves delivering customer data migrations onto our platform, using established frameworks and helping to design new migration types.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of data migrations, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Work with both established and emerging migration types, becoming increasingly self‑sufficient.
• Transform, validate and troubleshoot complex customer datasets throughout the migration flow.
• Liaise with internal teams and customers, joining calls to explain technical issues and support delivery.
• Provide feedback on edge cases, documentation gaps and process improvements to the migration architecture team.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented and diligent, with a strong sense of integrity when handling data.
• Comfortable with structured, repeatable, process‑driven work.
• Independent, reliable and able to recognise when to escalate issues.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

• Python (backend development)
• AWS services – DynamoDB, S3, ECS, containers, Lambda, streams
• API design and endpoint‑based integrations
• SQL
• FTP/SFTP data retrieval
• Basic frontend knowledge (jQuery or Svelte)
• Familiarity with CRM or recruitment platforms
