Data Modeller – 6‑Month Contract (Hybrid)

About the role

We are supporting a leading retail banking organisation on its data‑maturity journey and need an experienced Data Modeller to join a high‑profile transformation programme. This six‑month hybrid contract offers the chance to shape critical data assets across business and technology teams.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, product owners and engineering teams to capture and model data requirements.
• Create and maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models that align with enterprise architecture.
• Support the development of data products and drive data‑maturity initiatives.
• Define data standards, metadata, lineage and business definitions.
• Ensure models comply with governance frameworks and contribute to best‑practice modelling standards.

Required profile

• Strong experience in data modelling or data architecture within banking or financial services.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and collaboration abilities.
• Analytical mindset with solid problem‑solving skills.
• Clear understanding of conceptual, logical and physical modelling and the ability to explain each level.

Required skills

• Data‑modelling tools: ERwin, Sparx Enterprise Architect, ER/Studio (or equivalent).
• Methodologies: Third Normal Form (3NF), Dimensional Modelling, Data Vault, Key‑Value structures, NoSQL document stores.
• Industry frameworks: IBM Information Framework (IFW), Teradata Industry Data Models, BIAN.
• Data‑management disciplines: Data Product Management, Metadata Management, Data Lineage, Data Governance, Business Glossaries.
