Data Platform Engineer

About the role
The National Audit Office is expanding its Digital Services data team. As a Data Platform Engineer you will design, build and maintain the infrastructure that enables robust data ingestion, storage and access across the organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain the data platform infrastructure that supports robust data ingestion, storage and access across the NAO.
- Develop and optimise data pipelines to move data efficiently between systems.
- Integrate a variety of data sources to enable reliable data solutions for audit and value‑for‑money services.
- Support the continuous improvement of the NAO’s data and technology service composition.
Required profile
- UK nationals, Commonwealth nationals with the right to work in the UK, or EU/EEA/Swiss nationals with settled or pre‑settled status.
- Must be able to work on‑site in London or Newcastle at least two days per week.

- Permanent full‑time role with a salary of £70,000 (London) or £61,250 (Newcastle).
- Employer pension contribution of 28.9%.
