Data Protection Solicitor – £70k‑£90k (2‑6 PQE)

About the role

We are seeking a Data Protection Solicitor to join a nationally recognised specialist team in Oxfordshire. The role involves advising clients on complex GDPR, data breaches, DSARs and other information governance matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advice on GDPR compliance and the Data Protection Act.
• Handle Data Subject Access Requests, Freedom of Information requests and data breach incidents.
• Support clients during ICO investigations and regulatory enquiries.
• Assist with tribunal proceedings and advise on third‑party data requests.
• Develop and deliver pragmatic, commercial advice on contentious data protection issues.

Required profile

• 2‑6 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) as a solicitor.
• Demonstrated experience in data protection, privacy and information governance.
• Strong knowledge of GDPR, the Data Protection Act and related compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
