Data Quality Manager

About the role

This position is with a leading financial services organisation that is undergoing a large‑scale data transformation. As Data Quality Manager you will lead the design and implementation of data governance and quality controls, working closely with engineering and business stakeholders to ensure trustworthy data across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the data governance framework within an engineering‑led environment.
• Define governance standards, data contracts, guardrails and service‑level agreements.
• Partner with Risk, Audit, Data Protection and Legal to satisfy compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to embed quality checks into pipelines and ETL workflows.
• Provide hands‑on guidance on data modelling, reconciliation, metadata management and best‑practice adoption.
• Lead a small team of data quality specialists and mentor operational SMEs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in data quality, governance and management within modern data engineering environments.
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.
• Hands‑on experience delivering data quality controls on cloud platforms.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for data accuracy and trust.
