Data Scientist

About the role

Jupiter Asset Management is seeking a highly capable Data Scientist to strengthen its data strategy. You will work closely with investment professionals, turning alternative data into actionable investment insights and supporting the firm’s quantitative research agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Explore and integrate alternative data sources to uncover alpha signals beyond traditional market data.
• Design, build and validate predictive models using diverse datasets.
• Develop and maintain reproducible data‑science pipelines and tools in Python and SQL.
• Allocate time for research projects, proposing novel approaches to existing processes.
• Collaborate with investment teams to generate hypotheses, test them, and deliver data‑driven solutions.
• Produce clear visual and written narratives that translate complex findings for non‑technical stakeholders.
• Partner with data engineers and analysts to perform exploratory analysis and support data‑cleansing activities.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with a passion for finance and investment research.
• Experience working with large, unstructured or alternative data sets.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to business audiences.
• Self‑motivated, collaborative and comfortable in a fast‑moving environment.
