Data Scientist – Retail AI Transformation

About the role

Join a well‑established UK retail business that is undergoing a broad data and AI transformation. You will work closely with the Data Science Lead and a growing team to develop and productionise machine‑learning solutions that drive commercial and customer decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and deploy models for customer segmentation, lifetime‑value modelling and demand forecasting.
• Contribute to a scalable Data Science platform and expand existing models into broader production use.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts and business stakeholders to translate problems into data‑driven solutions.
• Communicate model outputs and insights clearly to non‑technical audiences.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience in Data Science using Python.
• Solid SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.
• End‑to‑end delivery of Data Science solutions, from problem definition to deployment.
• Proven ability to build, validate and operationalise machine‑learning models.
• Clear communication of insights to business stakeholders.
