Daytime Care Assistant – Harlow

About the role

Join the compassionate team at Abbots Care Home in Harlow, providing physical, emotional and social support to residents during day shifts. You will work in a family‑owned environment that values dignity, independence and respect for older people.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with meals, personal care and hygiene.
• Maintain accurate daily records, charts and care plans.
• Engage residents in meaningful activities and promote social interaction.
• Uphold health and safety standards and support a safe environment.

Required profile

• Experience in a care setting or a caring, kind approach towards older people.
• Reliability, dedication and a willingness to work a flexible schedule including every other weekend.
• Commitment to promoting independence, choice and respect.

Required skills

• Basic caregiving skills such as assisting with personal hygiene and feeding.
• Ability to complete documentation accurately.

What we offer

• Hourly rate £13.45‑£13.85 depending on experience.
• 36 hours per week on day shifts (8 am‑8 pm) with every other weekend.
