Dealer Training Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Dealer Training Specialist to join a leading automotive organisation across the North of England and Scotland. In this field‑based position you will empower dealership sales teams with the knowledge, skills and confidence required to deliver exceptional customer experiences and meet performance targets.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver and continuously improve a comprehensive new‑starter training programme for existing and newly appointed dealerships.
• Conduct face‑to‑face and virtual classroom sessions as part of the sales accreditation pathway.
• Provide engaging training during new product launches and create supporting e‑learning modules.
• Perform intensive on‑site coaching focused on sales processes, customer experience and mystery‑shop performance.
• Offer bespoke ad‑hoc training, both in‑person and online, to address evolving business needs.
• Identify under‑performing retailers with the Retailer Training Manager and Regional Sales Managers and develop tailored interventions.
• Participate in special projects and additional training initiatives as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering sales training within the automotive industry, either at a manufacturer or retailer level.
• Strong understanding of automotive retail operations, sales processes and customer satisfaction metrics.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation abilities, adaptable to varied learner styles.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the UK (approximately 3–4 days per week).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a broader training and field‑support team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital learning platforms and LMS solutions.
• Experience using Articulate for e‑learning content creation.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
