Dealership Accountant – London

About the role

We are seeking a forward‑thinking Dealership Accountant to join a busy car dealership in Barnet. This hands‑on position will see you manage the full accounts cycle for a high‑turnover, low‑sales‑volume business and become the key contact for management information across the newly acquired operation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts with detailed analysis and commentary, liaising with Divisional Finance Directors.
• Collate and examine purchase and sales ledger data from the centralised accounting department.
• Provide analytical support to optimise profit and cash flow.
• Monitor performance measurement tools for projects and draw conclusions.
• Review capital and project appraisals, and consolidate group budgets and forecasts.
• Undertake investigative and analytical exercises, ad‑hoc projects and other finance‑related tasks as required.

Required profile

• Strong technical and analytical accounting skills.
• Proven track record within the motor industry.
• Hands‑on attitude, willing to support colleagues and work as a team player.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Leadership qualities with a sense of humour.
