About the role
Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic delivery drivers for its Petworth Delivery Office. You will be the face of the service in the local community, delivering letters and parcels safely and on time, rain or shine.
Key responsibilities
- Drive a Royal Mail van to cover your assigned delivery area.
- Walk up to 20,000 steps per day, loading and unloading mailbags weighing up to 16 kg.
- Deliver all items securely, including election materials and regulated goods such as food or alcohol.
- Adapt to varying shift patterns and respond to short‑notice schedule changes.
Required profile
- Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than six penalty points.
- Good physical fitness to walk long distances and handle a heavy mailbag.
- Ability to pass a driving assessment at the start of employment.
- Team‑oriented attitude and flexibility to work different shifts.
