Delivery Postie with Driving – Okehampton

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Delivery Postie in Okehampton, working a fixed‑term 9‑month contract. You will deliver mail and parcels across the local community, driving a company vehicle and walking long distances in all weather conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, sort and deliver letters, parcels and stamps to residential and business addresses.
• Operate a delivery vehicle safely, adhering to traffic regulations.
• Follow a rota that includes weekend shifts and work between 07:00 and 16:00.
• Provide friendly, reliable service to customers and represent the Royal Mail brand.

Required profile

• Upbeat, independent and self‑motivated.
• Organised, punctual and committed to excellent customer service.
• Comfortable walking for long periods and working outdoors in any weather.
• Strong sense of community and pride in the role.
• Full UK manual driving licence with no more than six penalty points.
