Delivery Postie with Driving – Part‑time Sunday Role

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a part‑time Postperson in Barrow‑in‑Furness, working Sundays to deliver mail and parcels to the local community. You will be the friendly face that brings important items to doorsteps, regardless of weather conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver letters, parcels and special items to residential and business addresses.
• Walk for extended periods and operate a vehicle safely throughout the route.
• Work exclusively on Sundays between 09:00 and 19:00.
• Provide courteous customer service and represent the Royal Mail brand positively.
• Adapt to all weather conditions while maintaining delivery schedules.

Required profile

• Upbeat, independent and self‑motivated.
• Organised, punctual and committed to excellent customer service.
• Enjoy walking long distances and working outdoors.
• Strong sense of community and pride in the role.
• Full UK manual driving licence with no more than six penalty points.

Required skills

• Full UK manual driving licence (≤6 penalty points).
