Delivery Station Supervisor – Southwark (Deptford)

About the role

The Delivery Station Supervisor will lead a high‑volume e‑commerce parcel handling team in Deptford. You will be responsible for ensuring fast, accurate and safe movement of packages from inbound to outbound dispatch.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily inbound, sorting and outbound operations to meet delivery targets.
• Assign tasks, monitor productivity and lead a team of colleagues across shifts.
• Optimise resources using volume forecasts and real‑time data.
• Maintain KPIs such as on‑time dispatch, error rates and package accuracy.
• Support onboarding, performance management and daily briefings for staff.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and internal standards.
• Collaborate with transportation partners and regional logistics teams to resolve issues.
• Produce shift reports and escalate incidents or operational risks.

Required profile

• Previous senior experience in a warehouse, delivery or logistics environment.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Basic computer literacy, including email and spreadsheet use.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £17.32.
• Temporary contract leading to permanent after 12 successful weeks.
• Fixed shift pattern: Friday‑Sunday AM (6:15‑15:15) and Monday‑Tuesday (14:00‑23:00).
