About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Dental Skills Coach to join the Apprenticeships and Business Development department at Bradford College. The coach will guide apprentices through the dental standards, prepare them for the End‑Point Assessment and ensure they achieve the required technical competence.
Key responsibilities
- Support a caseload of up to 40 apprentices, ensuring progress against national standards.
- Work with employers and apprentices to schedule and deliver required functional skills, including Level 1 Functional Skills in the workplace.
- Deliver apprentice inductions and provide one‑to‑one coaching to address knowledge or skill gaps.
- Monitor assessment progress on the CognAssist platform and record decisions in line with awarding body requirements.
- Assist with recruitment by completing initial assessments and identifying new starters.
- Carry out internal quality assurance activities and manage SMART targets for each apprentice.
Required profile
- GCSE English and Maths (grade A*‑C / 9‑4) or equivalent qualification.
- Assessor Award or working towards it.
- Current knowledge and occupational experience in dental assessment.
- Proven ability to assess apprentices accurately and timely in a workplace or classroom setting.
- Experience working with candidates of varied abilities and a customer‑focused environment.
