Deputy Director, Head of Parent and Alumni Engagement

About the role

Brighton College is looking for a Deputy Director to lead its Parent and Alumni Engagement programme. Reporting to the Director of Development and Engagement, the role will shape and deliver a lifelong relationship strategy for alumni, current parents and former parents across the school community.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive alumni and parent engagement strategy aligned with the college’s strategic objectives.
• Set, monitor and report on key performance indicators for engagement activities.
• Manage a portfolio of key alumni and parent relationships, encouraging participation in volunteering and philanthropy programmes.
• Lead the Old Brightonians network, delivering events, mentoring, networking, career support and sporting opportunities for alumni worldwide.
• Collaborate with the Head of Development to support prospective major donors.
• Integrate graduates from Brighton College International Schools into the alumni network.
• Work with the Sixth Form team to expand career‑networking services for students and alumni.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in alumni, parent or community engagement within an educational setting.
• Strong strategic thinking with a track record of delivering measurable engagement outcomes.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building relationships with diverse stakeholder groups.
• Experience managing large‑scale events and programmes.
• Ability to analyse data and produce insightful reports.
