Deputy General Manager – Hospitality Leisure Centre

About the role

This is a hands‑on, autonomous position managing a busy hospitality leisure centre in Oxford. You will act as the primary decision‑maker when the General Manager is absent and will be groomed for a future General Manager role within 12‑18 months.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day centre operations, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for customers.
• Coach, mentor and develop the team on shift, driving high standards of customer service.
• Support the General Manager with back‑of‑house duties and front‑of‑house performance.
• Deliver financial targets, monitor sales, and manage centre profitability.
• Maintain health, safety and compliance standards across all areas.

Required profile

• Minimum 18 months experience in a customer‑facing management role, preferably in leisure, hospitality or retail.
• Proven ability to meet financial targets and drive business growth.
• Strong passion for people development and coaching.
• Excellent customer‑service mindset and ambition for success.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends.
