Deputy General Manager

About the role

Five Guys is looking for a Deputy General Manager to support the day‑to‑day operations of a busy Manchester restaurant. You will work alongside the General Manager to ensure the store delivers profitability, excellent customer service and a fun, values‑driven environment for the team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, inspire and coach the crew, working on the line and in the dining area as needed.
• Own the store’s P&L, driving sales while controlling costs.
• Maintain smooth daily operations and plan for long‑term growth.
• Develop talent, spot potential and build a strong pipeline of future leaders.
• Manage HR issues, recognising and rewarding performance.
• Uphold Five Guys values – Competitive, Enthusiastic, Family, Get It Done, Integrity.

Required profile

• Minimum 2+ years experience in a restaurant or fast‑food management role.
• Proven ability to lead a team and deliver results in a high‑pace environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a hands‑on, front‑line leadership style.
