Deputy Head of Clinical Procurement

About the role

King’s Facilities Management (KFM) is seeking a Deputy Head of Clinical Procurement to lead high‑value procurement programmes that support the delivery of healthcare services across King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The role is hybrid, based at Denmark Hill, London, with three days on‑site each week.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex, high‑value clinical procurement and strategic sourcing programmes.
• Support the delivery of procurement strategies, savings plans and performance targets.
• Manage tenders, contract negotiations and award processes.
• Develop and implement category management strategies for major spend areas.
• Collaborate with clinical, operational and supplier stakeholders to drive rationalisation and value.
• Provide expert commercial, contractual and procurement advice.
• Oversee contract management and supplier relationship management.
• Identify innovation opportunities and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coach, develop and deputise for the Head of Clinical Procurement as needed.

Required profile

• Significant experience in clinical or healthcare procurement, preferably in a senior leadership role.
• Proven ability to manage high‑value, complex projects and lead cross‑functional teams.
• Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
