Deputy Manager – Care Services

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to support our client, a well‑established care provider in Finchley, delivering high‑quality services for adults with mental health needs, learning disabilities and autism. This full‑time, permanent position offers a varied and progressive career in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Manager in delivering a professional, flexible, and high‑quality care service.
• Supervise and lead a team of Support Workers, ensuring service users lead fulfilling and independent lives.
• Act as a positive role model, promoting compassionate, person‑centred care.
• Conduct regular supervisions and provide constructive feedback to staff.
• Engage actively with service users and staff, driving continuous improvement.
• Contribute to planning and implementing individual support plans.
• Maintain effective communication with service users, families, and professionals while respecting confidentiality.

Required profile

• Diploma in Health and Social Care or NVQ Level 4 (or willingness to work towards qualification).
• Experience supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities and/or mental health issues.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for working with vulnerable adults.
• Commitment to high standards of safeguarding.
