Deputy Manager – Children’s Care Home

About the role
We are seeking a motivated Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in the daily operation of our children’s residential care home. You will help lead a dedicated team, ensure compliance with regulations, and directly support children to thrive emotionally and socially.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Registered Manager with compliance, supervision and staff development.
- Lead shifts and oversee effective daily operations.
- Support the development and implementation of care plans and risk assessments.
- Act as a positive role model for staff and young people.
- Handle incidents, reporting and safeguarding concerns in line with policy.
Required profile
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent); Level 5 preferred or willingness to work towards it.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential setting.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, child development and behavioural management.
- Enhanced DBS check required.
- Leadership potential and good interpersonal skills.
