Deputy Manager – Children's Residential Services

About the role

The Deputy Manager will support the day‑to‑day operation of a children’s residential home, ensuring a safe, secure and motivating environment for both young people and staff. You will work closely with the Registered Manager to maintain high standards of care and help young people achieve positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily home operations and uphold quality standards.
• Support and supervise staff, promoting a cohesive team culture.
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of young people, responding to highs and lows in their daily lives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals such as psychologists and occupational therapists.
• Contribute to the development of care plans and holistic support services.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in residential childcare.
• Previous supervisory or managerial experience within a similar setting.
• Commitment to the wellbeing and development of young people with social, emotional and mental health needs.

• Base salary between £46,064 and £52,852 per annum.
