Deputy Manager

About the role

We are seeking a caring, dynamic and highly motivated Deputy Manager to support nine high‑quality learning disability services across Chorley and Wigan. Working closely with the Registered Manager, you will help maintain service standards, lead a dedicated team of support workers, and drive service development.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Registered Manager in delivering bespoke learning disability services.
• Coordinate daily operations to ensure support is tailored to each service user’s needs.
• Maintain accurate records, including service user files, rotas and timesheets, and provide regular written feedback.
• Supervise and develop Support Workers, Senior Support Workers and Service Coordinators.
• Conduct audits, complete tasks as directed, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in the social care sector, specifically supporting people with learning disabilities.
• Proven managerial experience with a person‑centred approach.
• Relevant professional qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3) is desirable.
• Strong organisational, networking and vision‑driving abilities.
