Deputy Manager

About the role

As a Deputy Manager at Agincare you will support the delivery of high‑quality, person‑centred care in a residential care home. Working closely with the Registered Manager, you will help create a safe and supportive environment where residents feel at home.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise care assistants, providing induction, ongoing support and performance feedback.
• Conduct care audits and review care plans to ensure they remain person‑centred and meet regulatory standards.
• Liaise with families, social workers and other professionals to coordinate holistic care.
• Monitor, report and investigate safeguarding risks and incidents, implementing mitigation measures.
• Maintain accurate administrative records, including daily care notes, medication charts and meeting minutes.
• Assist the Registered Manager in day‑to‑day operations and assume full responsibility in their absence.

Required profile

• At least 12 months’ right to work in the UK.
• Previous experience leading a team of care assistants.
• QCF Level 3 diploma or higher in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
• Good knowledge of CQC key lines of enquiry and other regulatory frameworks.
• Availability to work 42 hours per week, including weekends.
