Deputy Operations Manager – Maternity Cover (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking an organised, proactive and people‑focused Deputy Operations Manager to support the store leadership team during a maternity cover period. You will help maintain high operational standards across back‑of‑house and front‑of‑house activities, ensuring a safe, efficient and customer‑ready environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee stock flow, deliveries, replenishment and stockroom organisation.
• Support online processes such as SINT, Store Mode and Click & Collect, meeting daily deadlines.
• Maintain store technology and systems (POS/RFID, iPods, iPads, Bluebirds) and provide troubleshooting.
• Review operational reports and KPIs, driving actions to improve efficiency.
• Manage cash desk standards, security procedures and banking routines.
• Promote company policies, coach leaders, and support talent development.
• Deliver excellent customer service, resolve returns/refunds and uphold health & safety standards.

Required profile

• Experience in retail operations, supervisory or management roles.
• Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise, stay calm in a fast‑paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication, relationship‑building and coaching abilities.
• Emotionally intelligent with a solutions‑focused mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with POS/RFID systems.
• Familiarity with iPods, iPads and related retail hardware.
• Experience using retail operational reporting tools and handling numerical data.
