Deputy Store Manager

About the role

As a Deputy Store Manager at Aldi in Manchester, you will support the Store Manager in driving sales, delivering excellent customer service and improving operational efficiency. The role offers real responsibility and is an ideal stepping‑stone for experienced team leaders aiming for store management.

Key responsibilities

• Run the store in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager.
• Deliver excellent customer service that exceeds expectations.
• Support the Store Manager to boost employee engagement and meet store KPIs.
• Monitor product quality and manage stock rotation consistently.
• Oversee till cash‑up and safe deposits.
• Ensure Health & Safety and due‑diligence standards are maintained.

Required profile

• Experience managing teams in fast‑paced, customer‑focused environments.
• Strong time‑management and cost‑control abilities.
• Motivated to achieve and exceed targets consistently.
• Excellent customer service and compliance skills.
• Previous store management experience is a plus but not essential.
