Deputy Store Manager – Retail

About the role

As a Deputy Store Manager at Aldi you will support the Store Manager in delivering excellent customer service, driving sales and controlling costs. The role offers real responsibility and is an ideal next step for experienced team leaders who want to progress to store management.

Key responsibilities

• Run the store in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager.
• Deliver customer service that exceeds expectations.
• Support the Store Manager to boost employee engagement and meet store KPIs.
• Monitor product quality and manage stock rotation consistently.
• Oversee till cash‑up procedures and safe deposits.
• Ensure Health & Safety and due‑diligence standards are maintained.

Required profile

• Experience managing teams in fast‑paced, customer‑focused environments.
• Strong time‑management and cost‑control abilities.
• Motivation to achieve and exceed sales targets.
• Excellent customer service and compliance awareness.
• Previous store management experience is a plus but not essential.
