Deputy Store Manager – Retail

About the role

Join Topps Tiles as a Deputy Store Manager and help drive sales, profitability and exceptional customer service in a fast‑moving retail environment. Working closely with the Store Manager, you will ensure the store runs smoothly, looks inviting and meets the high standards expected by customers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in leading, coaching and developing a small store team.
• Maintain visual standards and ensure the store is presented beautifully.
• Support team members to become product experts and maximise sales opportunities.
• Identify and implement improvements to the store layout, processes and customer experience.
• Handle deliveries, stock replenishment and occasional lifting of tiles.
• Build strong relationships with retail and trade customers, offering design advice where appropriate.

Required profile

• Proven retail experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales and profit targets.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop a team.
• Strong commercial awareness and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Willingness to roll up sleeves and work hands‑on when needed.
