Dermatology Specialist Doctor – Sessional Role

About the role

CHEC is expanding its community health services and is seeking an experienced Dermatology Specialist Doctor to join the Thurrock Health Centre team. This sessional position offers the chance to work independently within a purpose‑built, community‑based clinic, providing rapid, patient‑centred dermatology care.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage a wide range of adult dermatological conditions.
• Provide secondary‑care opinions and referrals when necessary.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary clinical support team to deliver integrated care pathways.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to NHS standards.
• Participate in audit, teaching and continuous improvement activities.

Required profile

• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• Diploma in Dermatology or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Proven experience working in dermatology, either in primary‑care (GPwER) or hospital settings.
• Current DBS check (issued within the last 12 months) and personal indemnity cover.
• Evidence of recent NHS employment and appraisal.
