Design Assistant – Accessories & Sample Room Support

About the role

Join a young, dynamic accessories company that designs and manufactures products for UK high‑street and international retailers. As a Design Assistant you will provide essential support to the Design Team and manage the day‑to‑day operations of the sample rooms.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Design Team with daily tasks, including creating CAD files during peak periods.
• Generate trend presentations for internal use and customers.
• Research new fashion and accessories trends.
• Organise and maintain sample rooms, restocking after client meetings.
• Liaise with FE suppliers – send labels, chase and log samples.
• Label, photograph and catalogue new samples.
• Manage acetate and lens swatches, as well as other sample materials.
• Ensure all design files are up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• Genuine passion for accessories and fashion design.
• Awareness of style trends and product development.
• Meticulous with a keen eye for detail.
• Team player with strong communication skills.
• Ability to self‑manage, prioritise workload and work under seasonal pressure.
• Positive, proactive and problem‑solving attitude.

Required skills

• Basic CAD skills using Adobe InDesign.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.

What we offer

• Salary range £28‑30k per annum.
• Flexible working hours (7:30‑9:30 am & 4:00‑6:00 pm).
• Hybrid model – 3 days in the office, 2 days remote, with a 4 pm finish on Fridays.
