Design & Development Engineer

About the role

Join a well‑known construction equipment manufacturer as a Design & Development Engineer. You will tackle complex technical challenges, working across CAD design, prototyping and testing, and own projects from concept through to production.

Key responsibilities

• Review and evaluate concepts from multiple sources.
• Produce 2D and 3D CAD designs, primarily using Inventor.
• Define performance criteria and conduct virtual testing such as stress analysis.
• Create technical specifications and summary reports.
• Carry out testing and validation of manufactured products.
• Support additional duties as required by the manufacturing team.

Required profile

• Relevant R&D experience in engineering or construction product development.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Practical, hands‑on engineering experience (assembly, metalwork, test rigs, fabrication).
• Strong CAD proficiency in 2D and 3D, ideally with Inventor or SolidWorks.
• Ability to translate designs into detailed product specifications.
