Design Engineer – Radial Piston Motor Development

About the role

We are looking for a Design Engineer to support the development of radial piston motor products for a variety of applications in material handling, construction and forestry machinery. The role involves concept generation, CAD modelling, drawing creation and close liaison with customers and production teams to ensure technical requirements are met.

Key responsibilities

• Develop radial piston motor products to meet quality, performance and cost targets.
• Collaborate with customers, production and other stakeholders to clarify requirements.
• Generate design concepts, technical specifications and engineering solutions.
• Create and modify 3D CAD models and production‑ready drawings.
• Support problem‑solving activities to deliver robust and optimal designs.
• Apply knowledge of precision‑machined steel and cast‑iron component manufacturing.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in 3D CAD design and drafting, preferably using PTC Creo.
• Understanding of design and manufacturing considerations for precision‑machined steel and cast‑iron components.
• Product knowledge of hydraulic pumps or motors is desirable.
• Experience in a medium or high‑volume manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical and communication skills.

Required skills

• PTC Creo (3D CAD modelling and drafting).
• Creation of detailed engineering drawings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
