Design Manager – CSA Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Design Manager to lead the civil, structural and architectural design on a landmark construction project in Bristol. The role offers long‑term stability, exposure to complex engineering challenges and clear pathways for career progression within a leading international main contractor.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the civil, structural and architectural design process from pre‑construction through to project completion.
• Coordinate consultants, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure timely and quality design delivery.
• Review drawings, technical submissions and design information for compliance.
• Maintain design programmes, oversee design interfaces between CSA, MEP and construction teams.
• Facilitate design workshops, value‑engineering sessions and resolve technical issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience with a main or specialist contractor on major construction projects.
• Strong understanding of civil, structural or architectural design coordination.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Capability to handle multiple design packages in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to work full‑time on‑site, Monday‑Friday.
