Design Manager – Student Accommodation Project

About the role

GRAHAM is looking for an experienced Design Manager to lead the design and technical delivery of a multi‑million‑pound student accommodation development in Bath. Reporting to the Regional Design Manager, you will work closely with tender and project teams to ensure the design is delivered from concept through to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee permanent and temporary works designs for live projects and tenders.
• Integrate design programmes into the overall project schedule.
• Provide design input for tender submissions and ensure compliance with CDM Regulations.
• Coordinate temporary works design and maintain seamless information flow across teams.
• Support pre‑construction activities and offer technical guidance as required.

Required profile

• Degree in Architecture or Construction Management.
• Proven experience in a similar role with a main contractor.
• Strong organisational, multitasking and communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.
