Design Technology Teacher

About the role

You will join a well‑regarded secondary academy in Stratford, East London, delivering Design and Technology lessons to students aged 11‑16. The role combines practical workshop teaching with fostering creativity and safe working practices.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Design & Technology curriculum.
• Teach practical DT skills and support design‑based projects.
• Maintain a safe, well‑managed workshop environment.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Design & Technology at secondary level.
• Good knowledge of health and safety regulations for practical classrooms.
• Ability to manage a workshop and practical learning environment.

Required skills

• Design and Technology (practical workshop skills).
• Health and safety compliance.
