Design & Technology Teacher (KS3)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Design & Technology teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Newham, London. The successful candidate will deliver inspiring KS3 lessons from September 2026, fostering creativity, problem‑solving and practical making skills.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess high‑quality Design & Technology lessons for Key Stage 3.
• Develop and enrich the curriculum, incorporating project‑based learning and exhibitions.
• Manage classroom behaviour and create an inclusive learning environment.
• Contribute to departmental initiatives, enrichment activities and extracurricular programmes.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Degree in Design & Technology or a related discipline.
• Experience teaching Design & Technology in a secondary setting.
• Strong knowledge of the KS3 Design & Technology curriculum.
• Enthusiasm for fostering creativity and technical confidence in students of all abilities.
