Design & Technology Teacher (KS3/KS4)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Design & Technology Teacher to deliver KS3 and KS4 lessons in a well‑established secondary school in Croydon. The successful candidate will plan, teach and assess a broad DT curriculum, ensuring a safe and inspiring workshop environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality Design & Technology lessons that support student progress.
• Plan, prepare and assess coursework in line with the national curriculum.
• Create and maintain a safe, well‑equipped workshop for practical activities.
• Provide constructive feedback and targeted interventions to improve achievement.
• Collaborate with the DT team and contribute to whole‑school initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge in Design & Technology.
• Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 students.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Willingness to obtain a DBS check (or existing valid DBS).
