Design & Technology Teacher – Secondary (Key Stages 3‑4)

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Design & Technology teachers to deliver engaging lessons to secondary students across Southeast London. The role covers Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of supporting Key Stage 5 where experience allows.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver practical Design & Technology lessons that foster creativity and problem‑solving.
• Assess student work, monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a safe, well‑managed workshop and classroom environment.
• Collaborate with the wider DT department and school staff to enhance the curriculum.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Ability to teach Design & Technology at secondary level.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
