Designer – AutoCAD Drafting for Wood Construction

About the role

The Designer will join the design team to produce production designs and drawings for wood‑construction projects. Working remotely or onsite at our Trenton facility, you will help deliver successful projects across Nova Scotia.

Key responsibilities

• Create and modify 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings for wood wall panels, floor panels, roof systems and related components.
• Develop job estimates and installation guides using ProEst or similar software.
• Track project progress, generate detailed reports and manage documentation in ProCore or Sharepoint.
• Collaborate with suppliers, contractors and builders to resolve design or site issues.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the National Building Code of Canada, passive design and green building practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of AutoCAD drafting experience in wood construction.
• Architectural Drafting Course or equivalent secondary education.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
