Desk Subsidence Engineer

About the role

We are a loss adjusting and claims management organisation seeking a Desk Subsidence Engineer to join our growing team of desk‑based subsidence specialists. Working remotely, you will be responsible for the end‑to‑end management of domestic and commercial subsidence claims across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, mitigate and coordinate repair of subsidence damage for residential and commercial properties.
• Project‑manage each claim from initial assessment through to final settlement.
• Liaise with field‑based surveyors and third‑party suppliers such as arboricultural consultants, site investigation firms and drainage repair companies.
• Arrange appointments and oversee the work of external contractors.
• Maintain accurate claim records and ensure compliance with company procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience handling building/property claims related to subsidence from start to finish.
• Strong knowledge of structural defects affecting buildings and ability to diagnose causes without site visits.
• Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., MICE, MRICS, MCIOB, MIStrucE, MCAB) or progress towards one.
