Deskside Support Technician – IT Helpdesk

About the role

We are looking for a Deskside Support Technician to join our IT support team at the UK Head Office in Heathrow and on client sites. You will provide high‑quality desktop assistance to internal users, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver onsite and remote support for hardware and software issues.
• Install, configure and maintain operating systems, applications and updates.
• Perform routine health checks and maintenance on IT equipment.
• Assist with deployment of new hardware and software for users.
• Escalate and collaborate with IT team members on complex problems.
• Document support activities and maintain accurate IT asset records.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, security and data protection standards.
• Monitor and resolve helpdesk tickets within agreed timelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of desktop support experience in a corporate environment.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and effective communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA or Microsoft are advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Experience with Active Directory, Azure/Office 365 and Intune management.
• Hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Helpdesk ticketing systems.
