Desktop Support Engineer - Investment Manager

About the role

A well‑established financial services organisation is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to join its internal IT team. You will provide high‑quality, customer‑facing technical support to users across multiple London offices while helping to maintain a secure, modern IT environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line desktop support, managing incidents and requests through to resolution.
• Support Windows 11 devices using Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot.
• Manage the Joiners, Movers & Leavers process, including user accounts, device builds and software licensing.
• Support Microsoft 365 technologies including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and Office applications.
• Administer laptops, mobile devices and peripherals, including Apple devices via Intune and Apple Business Manager.
• Troubleshoot networking, telephony, meeting‑room AV and printing issues.
• Assist with endpoint security, patching, compliance and IT documentation.
• Work with third‑party vendors and contribute to continuous service improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering desktop support in a corporate environment, preferably within financial services.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills, able to work across multiple London offices.
• Understanding of ITIL processes and service‑desk best practices.

• Windows 11 operating system.

• Microsoft 365 suite (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
• Entra ID (Azure AD) identity management.
• Apple Business Manager and Apple device management.
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Wi‑Fi).
• Endpoint security and patch management (Microsoft Defender).
• IT asset and licence management.
• ITIL service‑management concepts.
